This handmade paper decorations is made from the bark of a shrub, locally known as "Lokta", âDaphne cannabinaâ, as it is also called, and grows on the southern slopes of Nepalâs Himalayan forests between 1600 and 4000m.Â Paper production creates important employment for women in rural areas in particular.
